4-6-20 Update

Companion Animal will start seeing all appointments and continuing elective surgeries using social distancing practices and conservation of PPE.  Our doors will continue to be locked so please call when you arrive and we will assist you.  Thank You!

Valued Clients-

Today we received word that Sioux County and more specifically Orange City has its first case of COVID-19.  In light of this news, we are going to initiate some changes to daily operations of the veterinary clinic.

These changes are hopefully very temporary, and meant to protect both the staff of PVS-OC as well as all of the many customers that visit the clinic on a daily basis. Our goal is that through these changes, we will keep all of us healthy so that vaccines and medicine can continue to flow to the livestock and pets that need all of our help. 

Companion Animal:

              Routine appointments and elective surgeries will be suspended at this time.

              Emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis.

Appointments:

• Please call when you get to the clinic and we will check you in, get a brief history, and retrieve your animal from your car.
• Dr. Laura will examine your pet and call you with exam findings and a treatment plan.
• We will then check you out over the phone and take your payment

Refills/Supplies

• Please call ahead with your order 
• When you get to the clinic, call us and we can take payment over the phone (card) or get a check from you when we bring out your items.

 Food Animal:

              We ask all customers to call or e-mail ahead orders for curbside pickup.

We will collect the needed products and be ready when you indicate that you are at the clinic through a second phone call.

Our desire is to set the products out the East entry on the curb with farm names on it (weather permitting).

Warehouse items will be sitting out by the overhead door with names.

We will only set out items when we have confirmation that they are to be collected in the immediate future.

The goal would be that no visitors need to touch the entry doors or have to risk touching hands with PVS staff as they hand off supplies.

For the safety of all, please refrain from entering the clinic.

We understand this will be a change, and there will need to be some extra planning ahead, but we feel this is the best step to proceed with as much normal daily business as possible. Please feel free to pass this on to all that might have reason to visit the clinic over the next several weeks. Again, hopefully this is very short term. I will send another e-mail when things change for the better.
